The Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by Yinon Reuveni against his detainment. Reuveni is accused of setting fire to the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes.

Justice Nil Handel stated that he turned down the appeal because police found prima facie evidence, including a glove with Reuveni's DNA, only a few kilometers from the scene of the crime.

Defense attorney Itamar Ben Gvir says, "Throughout the entire trial it seems that Justice Handel accepted our points, both on specific problems with the evidence and on alternatives to imprisonment. In the end, none of these were examined by the district court."
