Japan has announced that it will start negotiating over investments with Iran next week. Officials say they hope to come to an agreement as soon as possible, in order to maximize the possibilities for Japanese companies in the Islamic Republic.
A delegation will visit Tehran from Monday to Wednesday. It will be headed by Masaaki Kanai, the head of the foreign ministry's Middle East division.
An official from the Japanese foreign ministry explained that Japan will follow other countries' actions when decided how to handle its own sanctions against Iran.
