US Secretary of State John Kerry talked with Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas last night (Thursday).
Kerry used the opportunity to urge Abbas not to resign, the Arabic-language paper al-Araby al-Jadeed reports. The two also agreed to meet during a UN conference at the end of the year.
Abbas has been the PA President since Yassir Arafat died in 2004.
