France and Germany say that they will institute new measures to distribute and absorb refugees in an equal manner throughout the European Union.
An official statement also warned that Europe will not accept people simply looking for better living conditions: "Others are trying to improve their material situation by irregular means. They need to be escorted back, with dignity.”
