Saudi King Salman will visit Washington this Friday. He is expected to push President Barack Obama for more support in opposing Iran, while President Obama is expected to try and improve relations between his country and Saudi Arabia after recent growing tension.
This is King Salman's first trip to the US since coming to power in January.
The traditionally-strong relationship between Washington and Riyadh has experienced trouble over the recent Iran nuclear agreement. Saudi Arabia believes that the US is abandoning its previous allies in order to court favor with the Islamic Republic.
