Former US Secretary of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has unveiled her new plan to combat addiction.
Clinton laid out her initiative in an opinion piece published in a New Hampshire newspaper. She calls for focusing on five areas, largely based around enabling local communities to prevent teens from using drugs and to provide treatment to any who need it. The project would also involve creating a $7.5 billion federal fund.
"Twenty-three million Americans suffer from addiction, but only 1 in 10 get treatment," she wrote in the Manchester Union Leader.
