Residents of the Jerusalem Arab Silwan neighborhood and the “Emek Shaveh” archaeological organization petitioned on Tuesday the High Court against Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority, demanding that the “G Field” archaeological field located in Silwan remain open.
According to the petitioners, fences and gates were placed around the field two months ago. The field had been open to the public since the British Mandate.
