Joy Beverley, the eldest member of the popular singing group the Beverley Sisters, has passed away at age 91. The cause of death is reported have been a stroke.
The Beverley Sisters were the first all-female group from Great Britain to have a Top 10 hit in the US. They also had a TV show in the 1950s and were knighted in 2006. At one time, they were the highest-paid stars in the UK.
