The United Nations' satellite analysis agency says that it has images showing that the Syrian Temple of Bel has been destroyed. The temple had stood in the city of Palmyra for 2,000 years.
It was believed ISIS blew up the site last week, though there were conflicting reports due to the inability of eyewitnesses to reach the location.
The temple had been a popular site within a large complex dating back to the Roman Empire.
