The European Union may soon fund and establish new reception facilities for asylum-seekers in Hungary as it has begun doing in Italy and Greece, the EU's migration commissioner said on Monday.
Dimitris Avramopoulos told reporters he would soon travel to Budapest and that the EU was prepared to offer further assistance to the government including, "if necessary, [to] set up a hotspot in Hungary" as large numbers of migrants cross through its border.
