US President Barack Obama visited New Orleans, Louisiana, last night (Thursday). His visit represented ten years since the city was rocked by Hurricane Katrina.
"There's something in you guys that is just irrepressible," President Obama told local residents. "The people of New Orleans didn't just inspire me, you inspired all of America."
He added, though, the city is not finished recovering: "Just because the housing is nice doesn't mean our job is done." In particular, Obama pointed to the city's high level of poverty.
