A US judge has sentenced James Holmes to life in prison without parole. Holmes was found guilty of killing 12 and injuring 70 when he opened fire in a Colorado movie theater in 2012.
The jury was unable to unanimously agree that Holmes should be executed, leaving only life in prison for punishment.
Colorado officials will determine in which prison to place Holmes.
