Attorney Itamar Ben Gvir has commented on the Supreme Court appeal over the "light" sentence for two Israelis convicted of setting fire to a bilingual school in Jerusalem.

Ben Gvir claims that the prosecutors would not have filed an appeal had the sentence been for arson against a synagogue. He added that the sentence already represents a significant period of the youths' lives and that they have had no other criminal convictions.

The two defendants, brothers Shlomo and Nahman Twito, received two years and 30 months in prison, respectively.
