The Tel Aviv Municipality has come under criticism for a website designed to prepare tourists and foreign students for the Israeli mentality.
The site says that Israeli men "are straightforward, but need to be put in their place" and "have any army instinct imbedded [sic] in their DNA." It then warns women that an Israeli man "has no problem undressing you with their [sic] eyes," though adds that such tendencies are harmless.
Male visitors looking to get to know Israeli women are also warned: a potential suitor should "buy her a drink and let her talk for a bit. But don't be too easy to please at the start. This kind of chick will eat you alive."
