The United States will deploy F-22 fighter jets to eastern Europe, in an effort to support its NATO allies who are concerned over Russian advances into Ukraine.
"Russia’s military activity in the Ukraine continues to be of great concern to us and to our European allies," said US Air Force Secretary Deborah James. "For the air force an F-22 deployment is certainly on the strong side of the coin."
There is no information yet on how many planes, where, or when they will be deployed.
