Turkey Expected to Hold New Elections on November 1

Turkey's deadline for creating a new government has passed, and now Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to declare a new election.

Experts say that the next election will probably be on November 1 and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will remain in charge of an interim government until then.

President Erdogan's Islamic-based party lost its majority in the previous election, which took place in June. He is believed to be pushing for a new round in the hopes of returning to be the head of government.
