Attendees at a Mexican summit aiming to regular the international arms trade say that they expect to agree on several important steps this week.
Over 100 countries have sent delegates to the first conference of States Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty. The group was formed in December, but is still working out details of how it will function.
"We expect to reach agreement on all the issues on the agenda," said Jorge Lomonaco, the Mexican ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva.
