Macedonian police are using tear gas to stop migrants from entering.
Macedonia declared a state of emergency yesterday (Thursday) in the face of large numbers of migrants trying to escape the Middle East into Europe. Many of these migrants tried to break through police barriers this morning.
About 44,000 people are reported to have entered Macedonia over the last two months.
