Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon (Likud) visited the new mixed-gender infantry unit "Arayot Hayarden" today (Wednesday).
The unit explained to Ya'alon about its mission on the Jordanian border, actions it has carried out, and how it prevents terrorists and criminals from crossing into Israel.
Ya'alon praised the new unit and said, "I am happy to see that there is another mixed battalion... it's very important to continue in this direction. hope to see as many women as possible in this battalion and in higher positions.
