Egypt has opened its Rafah border crossing with Gaza today (Monday), for the first time in two months.
The crossing will be open to traffic in both directions until Thursday. About 20,000 people have already applied for exit visas, according to Crossing Director Khaled al-Shaer. Most are either students or people looking for medical treatments.
