A Jerusalem district court filed charges on Thursday morning against a Jerusalem Arab who attempted to travel to Syria in order to fight alongside “Islamic State” (ISIS) terrorists.
The charges indicate that the 19-year-old suspect attempted to join ISIS via Syria’s border with Turkey, but was prevented from entering Turkey because his passport was expired. The suspect was arrested upon his return to Israel, when his brother and uncle, who traveled with him, succeeded in entering Syria.
