Yemeni officials believe that a US drone strike today (Wednesday) killed five suspected al-Qaeda members. The attack occurred near the port city of Muklla.
A branch of al-Qaeda has been gaining ground in Yemen, as a civil war engulfs the country. The fighting is primarily between the Saudi-backed government and Iran-supported Houthi jihadists, though ISIS and other separate jihadists have also made their mark.
