The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will meet later this month in order to discuss how to obtain the money needed to carry out the monitoring system described in the recent Iran nuclear deal.
The deal called for the IAEA to report on Iran's progress in reducing its nuclear program. The IAEA approval is necessary for lifting sanctions.
IAEA Director of Communications Serge Gas wrote an e-mail explaining that "A meeting of the Board of Governors has been convened and is expected to take place on 25 August. It is expected that the Board will consider a report by the Director General on the requests in Security Council resolution 2231 and on the financial implications for the agency."
