MK Avigdor Liberman (Yisrael Beytenu) commented on the recent initiative to set up new conversion courts, outside of the official Rabbinate.
"I praise the National Religious rabbis' decision to create a conversion system that will be more comfortable and considerate towards converts," he wrote on his Facebook page. "But this process will not solve the problem of the recognition that converts need from the state in order to receive their rights. Therefore, the only solution is that the Prime Minister returns to the bill we submitted during the previous government, and which he surrendered in the face of the haredi parties."
