According to Turkish news, today's (Monday) attack on the US embassy in Istanbul was carried out by a man and and a woman. Police say that they have detained the latter.
No group has taken responsibility for the attack, though the region has seen a spike in violence between Turkish security forces and Kurdish separatists.
