Kabul police report that a suicide bomber has attacked a checkpoint near the capital's international airport. It is believed that the attack targeted a convoy of armored vehicles.
A spokesperson for the health ministry says that seven civilians were also injured.
This is only the latest in a series of recent suicide attacks in the Afghan capital. Analysts believe that the rise is the result of infighting within the Taliban, following the death of its leader.
