Japanese communications giant Softbank is looking into working with Israeli startups.

Softbank says that it is launching a new innovation program to look for startups with products that would fit well with the company's projects. The program is open to startups around the world, but the bank says that it is particularly interested in Israel.

The main fields Softbank is looking at are smart homes, connected vehicles, digital marketing and health.

Next month Softbank will hold a ceremony in Israel to launch the program.
