One of Adei Ad's emergency responders was arrested today (Sunday) for illegally carrying a gun, even though he had a license for the weapon.
During a raid on the community police found a military weapon in the man's house and decided to arrest him. The man, who served as a commander in a combat unit of the IDF, explained to the police that he obtained the weapon legally and keeps it because he serves as a first responder.
The man asked the police to call the local head of security, but they refused to do so. Instead, they arrested him and took him in for interrogation.
The legal defense organization Honenu quickly got involved in the situation and provided a copy of the man's license to the police. He was then released.
