Defense Minister, Moshe Ya’alon, responded to the conclusions of the Locker Commission’s report on the defense budget and said that “The Locker Commission’s report is a superficial report. It is extremely unbalanced and completely disconnected from reality in and around the State of Israel.”
“The report, if implemented, would gamble with the security of the citizens of Israel. The idea to shorten mandatory IDF service to two years is the result of a complete lack of understanding of the military network,” Ya’alon explained.
