Yesh Atid Chairman, Yair Lapid, slammed the conduct of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu during Wednesday morning’s meeting of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, with respect to the Iranian nuclear talks.
“We stand today in the face of the largest failure of foreign policy of any Israeli Prime Minister since the establishment of the State of Israel. He is not Churchill prior to World War Two; he is Golda Meir from after the Yom Kippur War.”
“Lapid added that “On the outside, in English, we will support the government and explain to the entire world how dangerous this deal is. This is what I have been doing since yesterday. But on the inside, in Hebrew, let’s admit the truth: the Prime Minister failed in his attempt to reach an alternate deal. A different deal could have been reached.”
