A new "pro-Palestinian" flotilla began its trip to Gaza yesterday (Sunday). The flotilla, which calls itself Freedom Flotilla III, is orgnized by the Ship to Gaza campaign.

The first ship, Marianne of Gothenburg, set sail from Sweden with a "limited cargo of, among other things, solar cell panels and medical equipment," according to a Ship to Gaza spokesperson. Two more vessels will join later.

The most famous flotilla to Gaza was in 2010, which refused Israel's offers to check and bring their good into Gaza. When IDF naval commandos boarded one of the ships, many of the self-described non-violent protestors used improvized weapons to attack the soldiers and injured several.
