A new Chinese-Israeli project called "Water City" has brought 20 municipal officials from Shouguang to Israel. The officials are looking into Israeli innovations and follows Economy Minister Naftali Bennett's visit to China last November. During Bennett's visit, Israeli and Chinese officials declared Shouguang as "Water City," a future center for Israeli water activities in Asia.
Shouguang is in eastern China, about 500 kilometers southeast of Beijing and 800 kilometers north of Shanghai.
