An international human trafficking ring was exposed in Greece last week, an EU representative announced. According to estimations, the ring’s leaders earned over eight million dollars by smuggling Syrian refugees into Europe.
16 suspects were arrested, including Syrian, Egyptian, Iraqi and Romanian nationals.
