MK Shelly Yechimovich (Labor) fumed following a statement made by Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding voting rates within the Palestinian Arab population.
“No western leader would dare utter such a racist slur. Can you imagine a Prime Minister or President of any democratic country warning that his government was in danger, for example, because ‘black voters are flocking to polling stations?’ Terrifying, isn’t it? It seems to me that what is worrying Bibi is that Israeli citizens are heading en masse to the polling stations, with an urgent desire to trade him in via democratic means.”
