Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Lieberman declared that during the Knesset's next term he would work to enact a law that would bring the study of chess into schools.
"In Spain, they decided to include the study of chess as a mandatory subject. This was a smart and important decision as it helps children to develop their thinking and reasoning processes, enabling them to realize one of the most important things in life: to think and to plan a few steps ahead," Liberman wrote on his Facebook page.
