Egyptian security officials said Sunday they had found a 2.5 kilometer long tunnel leading from Sinai into Gaza. This is the longest tunnel that has been uncovered so far during Egypt’s operation against smuggling on the Gaza border.
According to the sources, the tunnel was run by Hamas's “military wing” and among other things, explosives and communications equipment were found inside it.
