Defense Minister Moshe (Bogie) Yaalon addressed Wednesday's demonstration in the Ramallah area, in which Palestinian Minister Ziad Abu Ein died apparently from a heart attack.
"The incident in which Ziad Abu Ein died is being investigated by the Israel Defense Forces. We regret his death. We have proposed a joint investigation to the Palestinian Authority and that a joint autopsy be carried out on Abu Ein's body.
"Security stability is important to both sides and we will continue coordination with the PA," Yaalon stressed.
