Syrian TV reported earlier that the Israeli Air Force had attacked the area around the Dimas Airbase, which is reported to have been storing Russian-made S300 surface-to-air missiles.
It is thought that the motivation of the alleged attack was to prevent the weapons from being handed over to Hezbollah as a reward for its collaboration with the Assad regime's army.
Israel has neither confirmed not denied the reports.
