Minister of Defense Moshe Ya'alon announced today (Monday) at the International Cybersecurity Conference that he had instructed the Military Chief of Staff to define the members of Unit 8200 who signed the 'refusenik' letter as criminal.
Ya'alon sees the act as part of a political agenda. "Among the 43 signatories on the letter, only a few individuals were involved in actually listening in on the Palestinian domain. Most of them do not serve in the Reserves - the last one having served in 2009. Accordingly, one can see that this action was fully politically motivated," Ya'alon asserted.
