In 46 Days of Protective Edge MDA Has Treated 714 Civilians

During the 46 days Protective Edge has been operative, Magen David Adom has reported that it has treated 714 civilians so far, including 4 people killed by shrapnel, 24 others wounded by shrapnel to varying degrees - 6 in serious condition, 4 in moderate condition, and 10 considered in fair condition as a result of their wounds.

Additionally, MDA has reported treating 12 people hurt by broken glass and buildings which have collapsed. 18 have been treated for being in car accidents when the sirens went off, including one critically injured, and 140 who were hurt on their way to protected areas upon hearing the sirens. 507 people have been treated for psychological trauma as a result of the attacks.

9 people have been hurt in terrorist attacks, including one man who was moderately injured in a stabbing attack at the entrance to Ma'ale Adumim, 7 who were victims of the attack on a bus by a terrorist driving a tractor, including one man who died as a result of being run over, and a young man who was critically shot by a terrorist near Mt. Scopus.
