Restrictions on Temple Mount Monday

Out of concern about disorders on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Passover, the police will restrict Muslim access to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City on Monday to people carrying blue identity cards. Entry for males will be limited to those over the age of 50 with no age limit for females.

The Yediot Ahronot daily reported that the holy site will be closed to visitors. Police deployed in the Temple Mount area, including alleys in the Old City to prevent violence and maintain public order.
