Many residents of Ashdod have been reporting this morning (Thursday) the strong and distinct smell of gas. In addition, there are people who are complaining of a burning or stinging around their eyes.
Subsequently, members of the Fire Department and the Ministry of the Environment have set out in a search to detect the source. Residents are advised to make sure their homes are well-ventilated, and to refrain from strenuous physical activity for the time being.
