Following a year of his being banned, MK Moshe Feiglin (Likud) returned to the Temple Mount this morning (Wednesday).
For the past year, police have prevented MK Moshe Feiglin from his monthly ascent to the Temple Mount. Commander of the Israel Police's David Area telephoned the MK last April, informing him he was banned from ascending the Temple Mount. Feiglin's visits had drawn a lot of media attention and fierce condemnation by Arab groups throughout the world, defining them as "defilling" the mount.
"I saw a steady increase this morning indicating the return of Jewish sovereignty at the Temple Mount. The Israeli police have proved that when they get appropriate orders, they carry them out for the better side," Feiglin commented.
