Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas government in Gaza, made it clear on Thursday that he is not interested in opening a new conflict with Israel.
Haniyeh told the Bethlehem-based Ma'an news agency following the end of a graduation ceremony for an officers' course, "We always expect treacherous steps by the enemy, and despite this, our people should not be obsessive about a new war."
