Heads of Torah and Avodah Loyalists have sent a letter to Education Minister Rabbi Shai Piron and to the directors of religious state education requesting they allow associations promoting IDF draft of religious girls to present the option to seminary seniors in order to allow them to make an educated decision on the matter.
Chief Rabbi of Safed Shmuel Eliyahu recently wrote seminary deans castigating army service for religious girls, saying it was not conducive to Torah observance.
