Today (Monday) Israel's Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu held a meeting with Communist Party of China Central Committee Political Bureau member Meng Jianzhu. The Prime Minister welcomed Mr. Jianzhu to Jerusalem, noting that the visit was indicative of the rapidly improving relations between China and Israel. Mr. Netanyahu noted that there many areas in which the two countries could expand an cooperate, adding that Israel would be very pleased to be part of this.
Prime Minister Netanyahu conveyed to Mr. Jianzhu that pressure on Iran must not be relaxed. He iterated that in the present talks taking place between the major world powers and Iran, that they must stand firm on the demand that Iran not be allowed to retain a heavy water reactor or centrifuges, which are used in the production of nuclear weapons
