Chief of Staff Benny Gantz of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said, Tuesday, "At any given moment, a multi-front war could break out. This is something we are preparing for and for which we must be prepared." Addressing the 20th Anniversary Conference at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, the lieutenant-general said the scenario of an explosion in the Golan Heights followed by the kidnapping of soldiers and a missile hit by Hezbollah from Lebanon, the attempted overrunning of the Gaza border and fire on Eilat from the Sinai Peninsula is one of many possibilities.
Speaking against the backdrop of attempts to harm Israeli soldiers and civilians, Gantz explained further, "It's very possible that after that there will be a cyber attack on essential facilities such as the electric company or banks, which would disrupt [our] lifestyle.
