Culture Minister Limor Livnat (Likud) said on Tuesday evening that the spirit of Zionism will not be broken. She spoke during a ceremony in which awards recognizing Zionist creativity were handed out.
"It is very symbolic to me that this takes place tonight at the same time of the Prime Minister’s speech at the United Nations,” she said. "Look how symbolic it is: As we are here dealing with Zionist creativity, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is speaking at the United Nations and exposing to the world those who rise against the spirit of Zionism, and those who wish to cancel and underestimate it. We will not allow the spirit of Zionism to be broken.”
