Golani Brigade commander, Col. Yaniv Ashok, today (Tuesday) sentenced five soldiers from the supporting company of the 12th battalion brigade to 30 days in a military prison following last week’s incident, where the soldiers disobeyed orders, and abandonned a military outpost on the Egyptian border.
The soldiers rebelled after making allegations of degrading treatment by company commander and the first sergeant. They had been outraged by the confiscation of a television that had been donated to the unit.
