Peres: If Settlers Lived in the Negev, it would Bloom

President Shim'on Peres said, Thursday evening, that if half the Jews living in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) lived in the Negev, the two regions would look different.

Addressing an event to mark the 70th anniversary of Kibbutz Revivim in the Negev, Peres said, "There would be another 100,000 people here. Today there are 6,500 people in the Ramat Hanegev area."
